A NOTE ON SOME PROPERTIES OF A CLASS OF MODIFIED NEW BERNSTEIN TYPE OPERATORS

Abstract
In this paper we study some properties of the modified newBernstein type operators and show that some properties of the original function such as shape preserving properties, smoothness properties, etc. which were preserved by classical Bernstein operators are also preserved by these modified operators. We also obtain an estimate on rate of convergence of these operators in terms of modulus of continuity. In this paper we usethe resultof pointwise approximation by these operators with use of Siddiqui M. A. et. al. [10].
